How Is It That The H1n1 Flu Virus Is A Combination Of Several Strains?

I've heard it consists of avian, pig and human flu elements; why is that? And what does this mean? Is it going to mutate to something less forgiving in it's dormancy during the winter months subtropical?

Genetic mutations. The virus is a living breathing entity. Just as if you were to move to a dessert you would not just settle for the circumstances handed to you. You would seek out water because that is how you would best survive. The same with the virus, it adapts to what will best help it to survive.
That's the $1,000,000 question young man. Just worry about protecting you and yours.
