I'm somewhat concerned about the possible spred of swine flu in the U.S. Will President Obama's teleprompter tell him to say that the country needs to proclaim this a pandemic?

Hopefully it will tell him to move back to Kenya!

I don't understand the Right's fascination with teleprompters. They have been in common use among politicians for decades. No one has ever suggested they had any magical powers. If this is all you have, the Right are in BIG trouble.
The president has already addressed the swine flu, Homeland Security and the CDC are working on the issue. And?

Duh "Goblin" - don't know a sarcastic joke when ya see one.
I think obama will declare a serious swine flu emergency if more people start dieing in the US but for now its not a serious enough issue.
Good way of asking the question by the way.
lol "MiamiJ" , but come on, he had to know it was a clever joke or he is a diehard democrat.

First, his speechwriters will work with him on what to say. Then, after he approves it, it will be put on the teleprompter so that it can be delivered more convincingly. The teleprompter is a tool, not a person. Does Microsoft Word write your papers for you? Of course not. The teleprompter is no different. It's just a machine.

I wonder what the teleprompter would have told Bush. It probably would have told him to wait around for a few days like he did with Katrina and then say, "We gotta solve problems. We're problem solvers." (Actual quote from September 2005).

Were you concerned when Reagan, Bush I, or Bush II used a teleprompter for every coherent speech they ever made? Obama writes many of his own speeches. ∠°)
