I'm aware that there has been a major overreaction to the swine flu, but will schools be closing due to the pandemic status?

my school today gave put flyers saying that they might hav to close schools due to the swine flu..... and i am in the Long Beach Unified School District (LBUSD) luckily no one here in Long Beach has the swine flu, yet" hopefully not.....

Well only for a 5 day period at the most, and even then the days will be made up. Pandemic just means it is world wide, like the regular flu. So yes its a big deal, but no life will go on. We lose people every year to the new flu strain, so no it shouldn't be this crazy. The prevention is good old fashion, washing hands, and covering your face to prevent droplet.

This is the biggest over reaction that I have ever seen..
The CDC doesn't even list a number for the people that died last year of the regular flu. Only one has died in the US & it is a pandemic.
We have a pandemic of colds every year also.
They may close some schools, but here in Mexico all of the schools are still closed even though we don't have any flu problem where I am at.
