I have secular beliefs, however, I wonder if this virus, coming from pigs, would be considered unclean by either of these faiths.
If a Muslim or Jew were to die from this virus, would they still go to heaven?

Damn, now we gotta stone all the infected people. Thanks a lot.
Don't try to be a smart-***; you fail at it.

Epidemics unlike humans don't discriminate -- God Bless and pray for those with swine -- Blessings !

In Judaism, the Torah says that you should isolate yourself and get rid of an illness, then wash, you become clean, nothing preventing you going to heaven. There's two confirmed cases in Israel.

God has to take them to heaven since they do the worshippings in the exact way stated in their holy books. Besides they dont carry the viruses too to the heaven. The main question to me is, why an Omniscient God allow such a thing to happen to people so devoted to Him ?

Should there be more debates as to why Islam prohibited eating pork 1400 years ago ?
An opportunity for the non-muslims to understand Islam better has arrived.
Dear buddy there is nothing wrong with a Muslim who does not consume pork no matter he gets infected by swine flue or by any other virus while following Islamic way of life.

Everyone with an illness or issue of fluids (such as with a flu Virus) is automatically unclean until they have undergone the proper cleansing ritual at the appropriate time after the illness ceases. So everyone with any illness is unclean for the duration. But if they die, then that is a different issue again and one God not you or me will decide on.

They would not be considered "unclean" and it would not affect their standing with their deity.
All the best.
