Has anyone seen this information and if so where ?
It is a bit unclear as the WHO said on declaring phase 4 that seasonal flu vaccine would carry on and that a pandemic strain would not be made. Unless she did mean not at the moment.
Thanks in advance.

Contrary to the above, flu is a virus, which is not curable. Most our medications do is help the immune system fight it. If viruses were curable we would have cures for colds.
But, yes, I believe a flu vaccine is being worked on by top BioTech laboratories around the world and the government. A vaccine is not 100% effective and it has some side effects, but it will protect the greater population if a large percentage receive it.

Samples have been sent to the secure lab in London (I think it's Harrow) from the USA to begin the work towards a vaccine. But this will take about 6 months to perfect, but that would mean it would be ready in case there was a 'second wave' of the flu in the autumn.

I'm not sure but I think they're saying the regular flu vaccine offers some level of protection against this flu. Also they're saying the bird flu one might work but they don't want to use the stockpile because this flu isn't that bad. It's just like regular flu outside Mexico and they're concerned if we use all of our vaccine stockpile we will be in trouble should we have an outbreak of bird flu which is much more deadly.
There is some drugs available though to help fight the flu should we get it.

They are attacking that one on multiple fronts. The best estimate is 6 weeks:http://www.nbcconnecticut.com/news/local…
This is the 21st century. Biotechnology these days has a lot of weapons in its arsenal. Have faith - there are a lot of knowledgeable and smart people working on this. I would love to be with them but my background is applied math not biotechnology.
Thanks

even if it already has been made- it won't be distributed for a long time yet- because of all the checks the vaccine has to go through- the cost etc. but don't worry
if you live in the u.k you're unlikely to die from it-or even get it.
