Swine Flu Info Blog

Did you know that there is a pandemic or an epidemic about every 10 years? And the last pandemic was from 1997-99, so we're due for one.
And the Mexican "swine flu" or H1N1 outbreak was NOT a pandemic or epidemic.

I just want to know if there's a good reason for all the talk about the swine flu. So people have died from it, haven't people died from the normal flu?

This is the first worldwide pandemic in 41 years.

I'm just interested in hearing what other people have to say about this issue. Do you think that this new flu has the potential to turn into a pandemic (something along the lines of the Spanish flu of 1918)?

A few days ago i had most of the symptoms such as sore throat, and slight fever, and vomiting. However, I was too lazy too get tested. Now im just coughing so it was probably not h1n1 and just the common flu.
Getting back to the point, there are thousands of confirmed cases but how much more do you think that would be if that included unreported cases?

So the World Health Organization has moved to level 6 which is a pandemic. Do you think that the current pandemic will worsen? If so when. Also share any comments about what you think.

I reckon it is. 137 people have actually died from Swine Flu all over the world. 4 times that amount of people did on Australian roads each year. I think things like the Economic crisis or Global warming a more important.

I heard this current virus is following the same pattern which has got the virus researchers very concerned.

I know last month it was all over the news, but on my local news they have stopped talking about. i don't thinkk it will be as serious as people are saying but you have to prepare for the worst!

What do you think is gonna happen in the future with the swine flu?
I personally think it'll spread (throughout the years) to Canada and every where else and eventually everyone will die. Sorry for sounding so morbid, but it's like the black plague except it's already spreading.

I don't know but i heard if you have a cold or cough or something like that it could be a swine flu. I live in Canada and i don't know if i might have it because i have a cold and its been 2 days now, one of the side of my nose is blocked so i can only breathe with the other and its really runny sometimes. I just hear almost everywhere I go "Swine flu! 100 people dead in mexico! Several infected in US!" I mean, I know it could possibly become a worldwide plague, but it's not that likely. But I would just like to know, what do you think about this whole swine flu 'epidemic'? Do you think it'll actually become a plague, or are people making a big deal about it?
