I just got back from Mexico and I think it is the best time to go down there! We had a group of 15 go down there and not one of us got sick . You could have the chance to have the beach all to yourself because no one is traveling. Good luck its the best vacation I have ever had(and I go on vac alot!)

Compared to other outbreaks of diseases, I think that Mexico acted rather quickly in reporting to world nations even if they were unable to contain it effectively.

If you look up the history of Swine flu , it has been around for about 50 years or so. And some of the outbreaks originated in the United States. I guess Americans are the cleanest people in the world. We don't have a gang problem, corruption, bad economics, diseases, college student running around doing inappropriate behavior. I'm glad to be American, but we can just put the blame on other countries all the time.

While watching the news of the swine flu they are saying that the 20 cases that had the swine flu were mild and they all recover but the people of mexico are drying. Could it be because they said that they had no contract with pigs

im a senior currently and was planning on going to a language learning school in Cuernavaca, Mexico this June to improve my spanish...
does this mean i cant go now because of the swine flu?
Also, my dad was just in Cuernavaca about 5 weeks ago, is there a chance he could still get symptoms or is the virus much more recent?

Do you think preventing people from crossing the border with Mexico illegally might help? Where's that border fence congress promised us a couple of years ago? How come with hundreds of billions in federal "stimulus" money being spent, the Dems didn't want to spend any money to build the fence?

As many as 149 deaths have occured from this recent 2009 swine flu outbreak in Mexico. Only Mexico has faced deaths from this recent outbreak.All other global cases are mild and non-fatal although still cautionary. Different strains of the virus? Poor health and unsanitary conditions in Mexico?

Canada, New Zealand, and United States are now claiming that college kids who celebrated spring break 2009 in Mexico have brought swine flu into these countries. Is this true?
