Ok may be not swine flu but why do they not just stay at home instead of spreading it to us

I'm not actually planning on CONTRACTING it. I was just wondering, if I told my boss I didn't feel well, and I thought I had swine flu (so I could do something a lot more interesting than WORK on a given night), how many times I could use that excuse. Four days? Five?
How long before he catches on that I really feel fine...I just don't want to work?

I was wondering how many people so far have died of the swine flu because everytime I check on wikipedia they havent updated it.

How many people died of the swine flu virus so far in the united states??
How many in South Carolina???

This is for a class project. i don't care how many people have died in 2009. I've been trying to find out in an average year, with out any pandemics or anything like that, how many people die from swine flu?

it is very sad that more than 100 people died in mexico from swine flu, and there have been confirmed cases in other countries. but is it really a pandemic? 100 out off 109,000,000. is unfortunate, but a pandemic ? is media hype overdoing it ?

But nobody freaks out over THAT? WTF, people. Calm down. It's really unlikely it'll kill you even if you do get it.

I am flying from Seattle to Phoenix next Monday. I already looked up the symptoms of the this virus. It has the same symptoms as the flu. I already got my flu shot on February 12th when my family was sick
with the flu. I want to make sure to not end up with the swine flu.
I do have medical insurance so if I do get sick I will be able to get seen at the doctors. What are the chance of getting the swine flu while on my trip? Since I am going to be really close to the us mexico border. I am not going to mexico. I will be staying in the Mesa and phoenix area.

There have been 1,1490 confrimed cases confrimed worldwide. Not sure of all countries but here are a few, UK, US, Mexico, Canada, spain, portugal. Check bbc outbreak map. Please be advised the WHO are talking about raising the pandemic alert level to its highest level of 6 TONIGHT becuase there is clear evidence that the virus is becoming establsihed in the worldwide communities and it poses a threat to millions.

i've been looking for a while and cant find it, if you can help me find the number of people who died in ohio from the flu or even in the US it would be a great help to me, thanks!

And am I correct in saying that the last officially declared pandemic was back in the 1800s?? This swine flu sure is scary.. especially with kids..!

Just wondering if people (other than the news) are really worried about this "pandemic" .

The death toll there has reached 150+, but fatalities in other countries haven't been reported, apart from the poor little boy who was visiting in Houston. I was wondering if anyone has any theories or even wild guesses as to why this is happening.
