Swine Flu Info Blog

Just wondering because it has been said that the whole swine flu thing is just a media hype to distract us all from taxes, global warming and all the other problems our little world seems to have these days. I know people have died and that's bad but is it as serious as the media are claiming or are we just panicking over something fairly mild?

How many people have to be diagnosed or killed by the H1N1 virus for the country to go into a "lockdown" state, eg; closing major public places, schools, stadiums etc..

There was a news conference where the Secretary of Homeland Security who is not a doctor, answered questions on the swine flu. Why are they involved in handling it?

Someone said this and I was wondering why.

it is very sad that more than 100 people died in mexico from swine flu, and there have been confirmed cases in other countries. but is it really a pandemic? 100 out off 109,000,000. is unfortunate, but a pandemic ? is media hype overdoing it ?

I will always refer to it as the "Swine Flu". Renaming it is ridiculous! I think it would have better to just explain that it has nothing to do with pork and explain why it was labeled the "Swine Flu" in the first place.

Maine Senator Susan Collins still is bragging on her website how she led the fight to strip pandemic awareness and preparation out of the
stimulous measure. And she is supposed to be the moderate one.

I am clueless on how to make money from this.
9-11 was easy. I made a lot of money. I sold thousands of flags. I shorted all the airline stocks on 9-17-01, and i ordered 100's of newspapers from the nytimes which i am still selling on ebay.
But I dont know what to do about this swine flu, tips?
