What is the difference between swine flu and the regular flu?
Are many of the swine flu cases in the U.S. really just people with the regular flu?
Is Swine flu worse in some way? Because the numbers of people having it are not that big yet, and I'm wondering why they are calling it a pandemic at this stage of things.
I'm sick as ****!! I have all of the symptoms of the flu including fever, coughing, fatigue, sore throat, body aches, etc etc. How do I know I don't have swine flu???
PS - I'm not one of those crazy hypochondriacs, I'm just curious.
I don't know why people are over reacting so much to the swine flu. Is it more deadly than the regular influenza? Many People get the flu every year, some may die from it, some may recover. But They never closed schools just because someone died from the flu. So why is the swine flu any different?
I know the swine is much worse.
but the common Flu, just like the cold, always has people that get infected worse than others.
so is there an actual biological mircobial (just throwing big words out there) difference between the two? or is it just an uber bad case?
There are now 22 cases of swine flu in Australia. People are being isolated and going into quarantine but no one has died so I'm wondering what makes it more dangerous than the regular flu as people are recoving from it?
Regular flu kills 34,000 each year just in the U.S. Yet, thanks to our media overblowing this, if swine flu kills just 3,000, it will be sheer panic and terror. Go media!
But nobody freaks out over THAT? WTF, people. Calm down. It's really unlikely it'll kill you even if you do get it.
there's no vaccine to either. people die from both. not everyone who has gotten swine flu has died. most people who have died from the disease lived in impoverished areas, were very young or very old and their bodies weren't strong enough to fight off the disease, didn't have enough money to take care of themselves properly, or had poor hygiene. Is there really much of a difference between the swine flu and the regular flu? Are people worrying too much over the swine flu?
I was just wondering how is the swine flu different from a regular flu. Its a type of flu so how is it deadly.
Seasonal Flu (regular flu) infects millions of people every year. It's fair to say it's a common ailment, just like a cold.
Regular flu also kills thousands of people each year...
Of all the swine flu cases I heard about, most people are getting better, just like with a regular flu.
Of course if you're elderly or a newborn or an immunodeficient person, well, the flu might be harder to treat and may kill you, but that's not news!
Are we panicking over nothing?
