Should I Still Be Worried About The H1n1 Flu? Or In Basic Terms, Swine
Flu?

I'm 13 and a female. Last wednesday, I started to have cold, feverish symptoms which lasted painfully until Sunday. On Monday, I felt some much better, but I still had the constant runny nose and coughing. Today, I felt a little better. Was it just a cold or should I continue to be worried?

if you are feverish go to the doctor and see what they say that might ease your thoughts.

It's probably the regular seasonal flu...
dont worry. Even if you have it... 1 PERSON died outside of Mexico (i believe 1 person anyway). The death rates are extremely low. But i dont think you have it...
the swine flu actuallyisnt real, the government made it up so people freak out and spend more on medical bills and medicines, the gvernent is evil! trust me im Kevin Rudd.

you should be concerned about the future, nobody knows what will happen.
your fine and even if you did have the swine flue its no worse than the regular flue people are being way to dramatic over the situatation like the media so its causing people to think its worse than what it is.
This shouldn't be a problem cause the swine flu or H1N1 is actually less dangerous than the seasonal flu. The H1N1 is actually more tend to mutate though. And also that only a small fraction of the actual cases becomes the real thing.
i wouldnt be worried....its not any worse than the regular flu, the media just made it a bigger deal than it was to take our minds off worse problems were having [like the economic situation]

The only real way to tell is to go to the doctor. Most people with Swine Flu suffer from Flu-like symptoms. Aching body, high fever, etc.
Majority of the time, people with Swine Flu can get over it without treatment, but I'd still go to the doctor just to be safe.
No! Even if you had this flu, unless you have a compromised immune system, you have nothing to worry about. The average flu seasons kills thousands of people each year in the US. This strain is considerably more mild than the average season. The panic some people are experiencing due to this outbreak is probably going to have a higher mortality rate than the actual disease!
I love finding questions like this, because I had the SAME exact thing happening! At this very very moment I'm sniffing, and occasionally blowing my nose. Lots of people are overreacting about the "swine flu"
and telling kids not to eat bacon, but it's like seriously- just stay clean. Wash your hands every so often, don't stay out in the cold too long. You can still develop a different type of flu during this season. Just because you have the symptoms of "the flu" in general, it doesn't mean you have the swine flu, and you're going to die. Haha, noo (: So don't worry about anything! Things will clear up. I was kind of worried before too. You'll be fine :D
As long as you stay clean and stay in mmm-for about 3 days you should be ok-get plenty of sleep/rest and stay hydrated, take otc medication like pain relievers and cough syrup, maybe cough drops. I read in the newspaper that it was really enough to wash your hands 5 times a day and hand sani was not necessary. Don't go to school, tell your mom or guardian this is for other people's protection as well as yours. Even if you feel better after one or two days, stay in another day, 'cause someone else might be sick and giving you the flu.
