Is H1n1 Or Swine Flu Eloquent Proof Of Evolution?

Bill Maher made a good case on his show tonight. How can you explain Swine Flu unless your contention is that God or Jesus want to screw with Mexico and most of the world?
I suspect that some will say it's been foretold to be the end of days, except that this has been going on for a long time. There is a long history of these viruses doing stuff like this, even when it was not end of days.
So what gives?

The Truth Shall Set You Free said...: Everyone with half a brain knows that this was created in a lab. This TV series 11 years ago even made an episode based on a man-made avian flu super virus (not another coincidence...prior knowledge). Anonymous said...: what? no, its not a heavenly plague, and it doesn't confirm evolution. the influenza virus has the ability to rapidly mutate its dna to form new strains with a different surface code, therefore the body doesnt recognize how to fight it. its not evolution, its a virus adapting with some slight genetic changes. even if only 1 surface molecule changes, the virus can become completely unrecognizable to your immune system. and besides all that, mexico has a very high percentage of god fearing people.

Evolution is not a science, but is a religion.
Science, of course, involves observation, using on or more of our five senses (taste, sight, smell, hearing touch) to gain knowledge about the world, and being able to repeat the observation.
No living scientist was there to observe the first life forming in some primeval sea.
No living scientist was there to observe the “big bang” some billions of years ago.
No living scientist was there to observe the supposed formation of the earth.
No scientist was there, no human witness was there to see these events occurring.
And they certainly cannot be repeated today.
All the evidence a scientist has exists only in the present. The average person (including students) are not taught that scientists have only the present and cannot deal directly with the past.
Evolution is a belief system about the past based on the words of men who were not there, but who are trying to explain how all the evidence of the present (that is fossils, animals, plants etc.) originated.
Webster’s Dictionary defines religion as follows: “Cause, principle or system of beliefs held to with ardour and faith.” Surely this is an apt description of evolution.
Evolution is a belief system – A RELIGION !

MIka said...: I think it's stupid that everyone is getting all freaked out about the swine flu. This is the exact same thing that happens with most other flues. They're very contagious and spread like nothing else...which is why everyone has a "flu season"....everyone gets it! This is nothing different! Some people with really bad immune disorders, or people with disease/treatments for disease (like cancer, chemotherapy, aids) will have it worse, and may die from it..but that's about it.

Melting Media Redux said...: It's just a well-known part of evolution which is why the U.S. has the Centers for Disease Control. The Southern Baptist Convention did not found the CDC.
But the Don Wildmons and others will no doubt use Swine Flu to push the National Day of Prayer on May 7th.
