This is the t-virus found in Resident Evil. You will all turn into zombies.

It spreads just like the regular flu spreads. You keep from getting it by washing your hands and staying away from large crowds. Dont go around anyone that looks sick and pray.
yes it can be fatal and if you are in contact see your Doctor?

I found it out when I search in google.. it helped me a lot. Spread it to everyone you know.. build awareness and STOP the epidemic before it takes your love-one's or your life.
to be honest its only a fear because its not really containable as a new strain it can mutate quicker and spreads the same as a regular flu its isnt deadly yet, it may become deadly but to be honest its very survivable if your a generally healthy person with a good diet.
At a congressional hearing, Dr. Anne Schuchat of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention sought to strike a balance: No one knows what the never-before-seen virus ultimately will do, but so far in most U.S. cases people are recovering without even needing a doctor's care. The big message is to try not to spread infection.http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/med_swine_flu...
Don't worry about swine flu but if your really worried then follow these 6 steps
1. Wash your hands VERY often
2. Use seat covers
3. Be healthy- Excercise for about 30 mins a day
4. Stay inside as much as you can
5. Buy a mask if you know anyone thats got it
6. Stay calm.. Don't let 1 thing keep you down.
Hope this helps x
well, many YA friends have described the signs and symptoms and the precautions very well, so no need for more from me.
but what baffles me is the mixed strain of this virus -a combination of human, avian and swine flu. It sounds to me more lab manufactured designer strain rather than the outcome of natural mutation.
who stands to gain? who is behind the drug companies of flu drugs??
now the world needs millions of tons of these drugs and orders from every country is flying to their HQ!!
does anyone have answers??
after 9/11, Iraq invasion and all the rest surely nothing is what it seems??
Make sure you read up so you know how to protect yourself. Here are some resources:

Avoid Swine Fluhttp://www.ehow.com/how_4934263_avoid-sw...
It's a virus mutation that is a combined form of pig flu, bird flu and human flu. Because of this new, unique mutation, our bodies have no natural immunities and we have no current cures or vaccines. It is killing people because it causes the respiratory system to stop working properly. It starts as a typical flu -- headache, body/joint aches, fever, sometimes vomiting, but as it worsens victims have chest pain and trouble breathing.
It spreads like a normal flu. Wash your hands often. Use hand sanitizer when you can't wash them. Avoid crowds. Don't touch your face with unwashed hands. Stay home if you're sick. Sneeze and cough into tissues and discard them immediately and then wash your hands.
I would suggest that you watch the news - there is plenty of coverage about the Swine Flu, a human version of Swine Fever..
Clearly this flu can be fatal - as at least 100 victims in Mexico have already died of the virus... However, the Mexican authorities are less worried about this flu now as the original death toll was much higher - until they checked further and realised that many had died of other causes..
The flu is now being spread around the globe by unsuspecting holiday makers and aircraft crew, as yet no fatalities outside Mexico where apparently many fatalities occur each time an influenza epidemic hits - so it may be that only those already weakened by other illnesses or the very young and elderly will be at dire risk..
The rest of us can try to protect these others by keeping our germs to ourselves. The latest adverts are a rerun of the old "Coughs and Sneezes spread Diseases - Keep 'em in your handkerchief"!! Although these days we mainly use tissues... Plenty of hand-washing [especially after travelling on public transport, shopping or sharing computer keyboards or phones (maybe wipe these with a special wipe)], catching your sneezes in tissues and disposing of these hygienically and if you think you may have flu contacting NHS Direct or your local GP for advice before spreading your potential germs amongst a group of Mums-to-be, Babies or Pensioners in the waiting room.
Just as important, if you are the type of person who loves to spit - please do it into the toilet bowl or into a tissue and dispose as above.
Oh yes, and think twice before shaking hands with someone who looks poorly!!
The usual deterrents for colds and flu are vitamin C, zinc and Echinacea - drink loads of water and fruit juice and make sure that you have some of your favourite pain killers in the medicine cabinet.
Watch out for your friends and loved ones - especially your parents.. I gave my Dad the flu once, it was a type which I managed to work with - good job really as we all had it - but poor Dad already had emphasema and despite my best efforts (couldn't completely avoid as I lived in the same house) I was unable to keep the germs from spreading.. He was dead within a few months.
Good Luck - and don't forget to check out the news pages and the leaflet which should be dropping through your letterbox shortly.
Avoiding the swine flu is ridiculous. It is the flu. A new strain that seems to spread faster.
Any flu "can" be fatal. For the most part this flu is not more likely to be fatal than the last flu you had.
Symptoms are the same as any other flu...high fever, muscle aches, cough, runny nose. In addition this flu seems to cause more nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
This flu is spread through airborne particles released when coughing. It can be passed from person to person (most flu's can so it is not really special in this regard).
This flu and almost every other flu is dangerous primarily to those that are already ill, have chronic illnesses, or are in the extremes of age (the elderly and young children <2 years old). If you are not one of these groups of people you should probably relax.
Yes people have died from the swine flu.
What are the signs and symptoms of swine flu in people?
The symptoms of swine flu in people are similar to the symptoms of regular human flu and include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. Some people have reported diarrhea and vomiting associated with swine flu. In the past, severe illness (pneumonia and respiratory failure) and deaths have been reported with swine flu infection in people. Like seasonal flu, swine flu may cause a worsening of underlying chronic medical conditions.
How do you catch swine flu?
Spread of swine flu can occur in two ways:
* Through contact with infected pigs or environments contaminated with swine flu viruses.
* Through contact with a person with swine flu. Human-to-human spread of swine flu has been documented also and is thought to occur in the same way as seasonal flu. Influenza is thought to spread mainly person-to-person through coughing or sneezing of infected people.
What can I do to protect myself from getting sick?
There is no vaccine available right now to protect against swine flu. There are everyday actions that can help prevent the spread of germs that cause respiratory illnesses like influenza. Take these everyday steps to protect your health:
* Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
* Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective.
* Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread this way.
* Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
* If you get sick with influenza, CDC recommends that you stay home from work or school and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them.
while the media as started a pandemic panic about "swine flu ~150 deaths (not all off which are confirmed as "swine flu ")
100 000 people world wide have died of "the common flu "
in the same period
i would be afraid of the reason behind this media HYSTERICS more than the "swine flu.
Hi
The symptoms of swine flue are the same as ordinary flu only a bit more severe, and yes it can be fatal, and yes you can stop it spreading, by taking simple hygienic measures which should be a run of the mill routine, but sadly isn't, as it is so easy, put your hand over your mouth when you sneeze, then wash your hands, use disposable tissues, then dispose of them in a bin, then wash your hands again, and do not kiss anyone when you have colds or flu, as it is passed on in your saliva, all this may seem simple, but the reason it is spreading is because, people are not doing it, for instance, you sneeze without putting your hand over your mouth and suddenly millions of tiny germs are airborne ready to land on anyone nearby, also, if you are good and put your hand over your mouth when you sneeze, all those germs are in your hand, so if you don't wash your hands straight away, you will put those germ on everything you touch, so it becomes clear how easy it is to spread the illness, or to stop it, I hope this has helped you?, Be Happy, From.
happytiger.
There was something on the internet today that said that being conscientious about frequent hand washing.I would also add that I'd keep handshaking to a minimum. This doctor also said it has not been proven that wearing a face mask is affective in preventing the spread of swine flu except for people who may be working in hospitals, nursing homes, etc. where the person could be in close proximity to people who may cough or spit .He also added that people should continue with their daily routine and that brief encounters with others should not put you at increased risk.I think if people think back to the SARS outbreak that health care facilities and nursing homes should restrict visitors. I know that even before the outbreak of Swine flu I would always use a clean tissue to open doors, especially in the hospital ( there's a real cornucopia of germs). If a door says push I use my arm and it it has automated button I use that.It may sound extreme but it is cheap prevention in my mind. As always, use a tissue to contain a cough. The pros are also suggesting if you don't have a tissue use your hand or sleeve ( another reason to use a little caution with hand contact with others) It really comes down to using common sense and good hygiene.
Yes it can be fatal but I wouldn't worry it is not going to be the pandemic that Spanish Flu was that killed millions in 1918.
