We're doing the hand sanitizer thing here in the Episcopal Diocese of CPA.

The Cathedral Of St. Paul in Detroit is adding hand sanitizer stations according to what I heard Sunday. Being one of those at "serious risk" I am grateful, but in reality I'm not sure it'll make a real difference. Maybe this prayer will help with it's effectiveness? It is well done, that is for sure LOL!

For the longest time I was joking about the appearance of silver Purelle dispensers. Only moderately amusing, but soon overtaken by my spotting that very thing on the altar of a parish in the diocese of Ottawa. "O taste and see" now includes that unmistakeable tangy disinfectant assault on tongue and nose from highly-Purelled communion ministers.

Yup. 100% Anglican, no question.

This is hilarious, but H1N1 is far more likely to be spread by coughing/sneezing than by hand contact. Nothing like hysterical misinformation spread.

Ever heard of parody? Sarcasm?

Media-driven hysterical behaviour. Hand sanitizer does not kill viruses. The point of washing one's hands is to get the stuff on your hands off of your hands.

Again -- sarcasm? Get a sense of humor.

at my (Anglican) parish (in Detroit) there is now a bottle of hand sanitizer and a box of paper napkins on the Credence Table; Eucharistic Ministers & Clergy are to sanitize their hands before the Eucharist Prayer and Communion. I'm not certain if this is a prudent health precaution or media-driven hysterical behavior.
