But, I know that he wouldn't give me something that would hurt my baby. The opros always have to outweight the cons. There is a lot of people that has had it and got treated for it the others were just to late. It's important you take it as if you develop complications, that would be when the risks to your baby are higher.
The most important thing in the first trimester is to keep your temp down. Keep a close eye on it and if it is above 38 you need to do everything you can to keep it down - even if that means sitting in a bath of cold water! Don't sweat it out under a duvet. It's important for your baby that you stay cool. However, the safety and long-term effects can't be determined unless it's been used for a pretty good amount of time (for swine flu or any other illness). If the medication has been developed recently and specifically for swine flu, I'd question it's safety despite what research shows.
As long as your midwife found a heartbeat, did a pregnancy test that came back positive, or did not tell you that you're no longer pregnant, you are fine as far as miscarriage. Just get plenty of rest, drink lots of fluids, eat well, and take your vitamins...that's all you really can do. It's hard not to worry, but try not to. Not worrying will be better for both you and the baby.
Hope you feel better soon.Noodlenoreply@blogger.com
